Sara Evans Bio
Evans was born in Boonville Missouri on February 5, 1971. She grew up on a farm, along with her six siblings. She was the first to be named the lead singer in the family band of a huge size. When she was 8, tragedy struck and she decided to be an artist. After an automobile accident, Evans was forced to use a wheelchair to sing to pay for her medical expenses. At the age of sixteen, Evans was a club performer in a nightclub in Columbia, Missouri. At the age of twenty, Evans moved to Nashville, Tennessee in the hopes of becoming an even better musician. She met a fellow musician, and was given the chance to be a star.Craig Schelskewho she later got married with whom she got married in her wedding in. After a brief time in Oregon, Evans & Schelske returned to Nashville and began recording demos. One of the demos, entitled "Tiger by the Tail" was a hit and earned her sign a deal with the RCA Nashville.She released her debut album "Three Chords and the Truth" under the label, and garnered attention from Billboard, CMT and MVPA. The second album, "No Place That Far", was released in 1998. She gained more popularity after that. One of the tracks, "No Place That Far", was a duet featuring Vince Gill that reached No. 1. on the Country charts as well as entered the Billboard Hot 100 Top 40.
